Rachel Looney is a singer and actor whose work spans musical theatre, opera, concert, and film. Known for her “clear, bright, and beautiful soprano voice” (Times-Picayune), she has performed leading roles with many of New Orleans’ most celebrated theatres, including Tulane Summer Lyric, Le Petit Theatre, Jefferson Performing Arts, Westwego Performing Arts, Rivertown Theatres, and New Orleans Opera.
As a concert soloist, Rachel has made recent appearances with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, Acadiana Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Chorus of New Orleans, and Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra.
Rachel is a graduate of Louisiana State University and Loyola University New Orleans. She is based in New Orleans, where she enjoys taking in all the art, coffee, and food the city has to offer with her husband, Aidan.
